Hi, my name is SIMONE MUNROE and I am a student at the University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in History with a Minor in Sociology. This website is a product of a Digital History Course which is offered by the History department at UWI. With my love for History and Sociology I think it is important to educate and re-educate individuals about the contributions of women in the development of our societies. In relation to History and in particular Caribbean History the role of women seem to be minimal or non-existent. I do believe that women too, should be acknowledge in social and political history of the Caribbean region.
