WELCOME LET’S HEAR A LITTLE ABOUT HER STORY ….
This website is designed to showcase the importance of Caribbean women in both the political and social spheres; their contribution and influence in the development of the Caribbean. With this site, people within different age ranges would be able to easily browse and enlighten themselves with the content presented. It is known that the Caribbean has brought forward many influential figures during the 20th century and many are unknown. The aim of the website is to allow and invite individuals within the Caribbean region and the world to become aware of these iconic women and make their names a “household” one; to be excited and eager to utter information about these women when asked by anyone, in the same manner information about Uriah Butler, Dr Eric Williams, or Norman Manley and even the ever influential Marcus Garvey is asked.
There is also the option to request an influential, iconic woman that belongs to any Caribbean territory of your choice within the 20th century, which would result in every island being able to showcase at least one female belonging to that island.
